In a world where technology is king, businesses and service providers are finding that the incorporation of alternative methods of advertising and marketing are essential in gaining new clientele. The use of social media outlets, SEO, and video has become standard practice for many companies and specialists, who seek to provide prospective customers with personal glimpses into their operations. As the use of technology continues to expand, so will the opportunities for maximizing exposure and building relationships before face-to-face contact is ever made. ViaVio is poised to lead businesses into the next phase of technology and marketing, by utilizing high definition video to create relevant and relational pieces that capture the unique personality of an organization or service provider.

The brainchild of founder Leslie Brown, ViaVio is the result of her own experience as a new transplant to Sarasota. “My husband and I were thrilled to relocate to this amazing city,” she recalls. “But once we were here, we realized that we knew very little about what Sarasota had to offer. We didn’t have a big network of friends yet, so there weren’t even word-of-mouth referrals for health care, restaurants, and financial professionals.”

Brown, who worked in the internet video industry for a number of years in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, quickly realized that there was a chasm between local business owners and their prospective clients. And she knew just how to build a bridge that would bring people together. “I wanted to focus on the personalities of the individuals who run local business,” she explains. “This would give newcomers like me, as well as residents who simply don’t know what’s out there, an idea of who is behind the services and companies in our area.” The idea took off like wildfire; as Brown met with local business owners and service providers, she was met with increasingly positive feedback. “Their eyes lit up,” she recalls. “In a matter of weeks, I had built a strong network of local professionals who were interested in the concept.”

What differentiates ViaVio from other video production companies is Brown’s focus on the personal aspect of a business or service provider. From capturing a doctor’s bedside manner to showcasing a local artists’ persona, she works closely with her customers to elicit the featured environment as well as the products and services provided. “We may shoot twenty to thirty minutes of video for a finished product that will typically run three to five minutes,” notes Brown. “We want to regain the beautiful and familiar energy that has become known as a ‘small town’ feel. In today’s fast-paced environment, we often know nothing about the owners or the philosophies behind the businesses we patronize. It’s a perfect opportunity for customers to connect with those companies, to build stronger relationships – via video.”

Brown states that ViaVio is an affordable method for local businesses and service providers to share the stories behind the companies. “We are creating a high-end piece that delivers,” she says. “Everyone loves a good story.  The videos are revealing glimpses into the passions behind the businesses, unique stories with their beginnings, their present and compelling invitations.”

While Brown educates clients on how to use their videos on business websites and social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, she explains that the ViaVio concept extends beyond Internet use. “Each client receives a DVD or Blu-ray copy of their video, which can be used at charity and networking events, in office waiting rooms, and at trade shows,” she offers. “Additionally, we encourage our clients to develop three to four videos a year, releasing updated information to keep their audiences engaged.”

Brown and REAL Magazine see great potential in ViaVio’s future. The two have partnered to offer the luxury market innovative and timely multimedia solutions for their marketing needs.

Says Brown, “All video isn’t equal; all video isn’t effective. A strong product tells a story with style, and engages its audience, which can have a major impact on a business’ ability to attract new clients. We are helping our customers make real connections, via REAL video, and unique marketing strategies.”
