Perrone Construction won a third major award for a home it completed in November this time winning the coveted Aurora award for design at the South East Builders Conference in Orlando. The impressive residence is a design by Oz Planning and Design and is a true to architectural styled Italian villa. The residence won the Aurora award for best custom home over three million dollars for design.
At 8,200 square feet it abounds in stunning architectural detail. It is 75% clad in hand carved Syrian Ebla Limestone, The interior is accented in Texas Limestone and the walls finished with true Venetian plaster. Approximately 50-60 skilled craftsmen worked on the home 6 days a week to deliver the home in an impressive 15 months. Last month the residence also made news when it was given LEED silver certification making it the largest LEED silver certified home in Sarasota. Prior to that it was also awarded the FGBC Platinum certification, the highest attainable certification, for its energy efficiency, building techniques and materials employed as well as green design features.
