The Jewel Rising

On April 14, 2014 the corner of Main Street and Gulf Stream Avenue witnessed the beginning of a rebirth. On that day ground breaking for Tom Mannausa’s [1] $50 million luxury mixed use high rise, The Jewel [2], unassumingly took place. Many doubted. Many didn’t believe. I heard some of them. All the while Tom Mannausa diligently kept playing chess, moving through the myriad of hurdles and permits. Getting to know him, I never doubted his ability to bring his vision to reality. The Jewel is funded with cash to maintain a debt free project through construction of its skeleton and completion of the exterior. That’s a huge war chest.
The Vue, ONE88, Sansara, Aqua. All of the developers behind these projects visited Tom and sought his outlook on sales and market conditions, as well as why The Jewel was so successful from a design standpoint. If there was ever any doubt in Tom’s mind about The Jewel, would those meetings have taken place? The Jewel was the catalyst that sparked these other developments.
Take a stroll down Main Street, believe and watch the creation of The Jewel.
