Tampa Museum Of Art Hosts 2016 Zang Toi Spring Collection.

Tampa’s fashion world showcases spring’s finest on Saturday, September 19 at one of the city’s most anticipated events. An emulsion of fashion and culture, the sixth annual CITY: Fashion+Art+Culture is a collaboration between the Tampa Museum of Art and Saks Fifth Avenue Sarasota.

The partnership will feature a much coveted runway show by New York City-based designer Zang Toi, who will present his spring 2016 collection, marking the designer’s first showing at the prestigious CITY event.

“Season after season, fashionistas anticipate an unparalleled collection from the ultra-talented designer, Zang Toi,” states Terri Najmolhoda, Vice President and General Manager, at Saks Fifth Avenue Sarasota. “We are delighted to have Zang Toi present his Spring 2016 collection, just on the heels of New York Fashion Week, at such a sophisticated and modern venue such as the Tampa Museum of Art. “

The season’s must-have fashions are the highlight of the evening and will be presented in the runway show. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres from Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, open bar, wine and champagne, craft beers, decadent desserts, live entertainment and dancing. Tickets are $150.00.

“Proceeds from CITY benefit the Museum’s educational programs. Making the arts accessible to everyone is a priority for the Tampa Museum of Art,” stated Robin Sharp, Museum Trustee and Chair of CITY 2015. “CITY has become a signature event for the Museum and the Tampa Bay Area. We believe that art and fashion are interconnected. We are so pleased to present our new partner for this event Saks Sarasota. This will be unlike any other CITY event that the Tampa Bay area has experienced.”

Last year’s event raised more than $116,000.00. Organizers expect attendance of 400 guests at this year’s event, and the steering committee is set to surpass last year’s results.

Event Details

The VIP event starts at 7 p.m. General admission begins at 8 p.m. The live runway show starts at 9:00 p.m., and the event ends at 11 p.m.

A $250 VIP ticket includes private cocktail hour from 7 – 8 p.m., priority registration, exclusive access to the VIP area featuring hors d’oeuvres and open bar, reserved runway seating, entertainment and valet parking. General admission tickets are $150 per person.
