Three New College Students Win Fulbright Awards

New College Now Up To 86 Fulbright Recipients.

Three students at New College of Florida were awarded prestigious Fulbright grants for 2018 and will study and work in Taiwan and Croatia.

Miles Iton (Homestead, Fla.) received a Fulbright Research Fellowship to Taiwan. Megan Bailey (Miramar, Fla.) and Liliana Solomon (South Orange, New Jersey) received Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships, to Taiwan and Croatia, respectively. All are expected to graduate on May 18.

New College now has 47 Fulbright recipients in the last 10 years, and 86 in its history. The College has had more Fulbright recipients per student than almost any other college.

Located in Sarasota, New College of Florida has educated students for lives of great achievement since its founding in 1960. As the State of Florida’s designated honors college, New College provides an exceptional undergraduate education that transforms students’ intellectual curiosity into personal accomplishment.
