Winterfest Music Festival Enters 2nd Year. Winterfest 2015 will be held February 28, 2015 at Lakewood Ranch’s Premier Sports Campus on Post Road in Lakewood Ranch. The music festival, in its second year, will feature top-shelf national and local musical acts of all different types. This year, the gates open at noon and music starts at 1 p.m. Festival-goers should bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. The Palmetto-based Del Couch Music Education Foundation will be a Winterfest beneficiary. Premier Sports Campus Hosts Soccer Tournament. Premier Sports Campus (PSC) in Lakewood Ranch will host its annual Labor Day weekend soccer tournament from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1. Soccer players, parents and spectators from all over the state of Florida, and as far away as Georgia, will converge at the PSC for the Chargers Soccer Club’s 2014 Labor Day Showcase. “Over 250 teams and 6,000 visitors are expected to attend the long-weekend soccer event,” said Brian Shriver, Labor Day Showcase Tournament director. “We have more teams registered as of today compared to last year at the same time.” Several competing […]
Laxpalooza At Premier Sports Campus. The Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch will host the Laxpalooza lacrosse tournament over Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25, 2014. This event is competitive, yet fun, safe and memorable, and will host both boys and girls at all levels in the Southeast Region. More than 35 teams and some 2,000 people are expected to attend the tournament. Teams will be able to compete against other teams from all states including Florida, Georgia, and the southeast region, along with several teams traveling from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York.
