October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Salt & Light Productions wants to help draw attention to the plight of women who will experience physical violence at the hands of an intimate partner this year. In the past several years, Salt & Light Productions has developed videos for Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center in Sarasota and for Hope Family Services in Bradenton. As the holiday season is upon us and we share past traditions and create new lasting memories with family and friends we must also be aware that the increased financial and emotional stresses of the season can lead to an increase in domestic and sexual violence. The Suncoast is fortunate to have the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, Inc.
