Gala Hits A Homerun For Women’s Sports Museum. More than 200 guests attended the 3rd Annual Women’s Sport Museum Gala on October 19th at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens’ Michael’s on the Bay. The elegant affair started with a sunset cocktail hour in the gardens, followed by dinner, dancing and a high-energy live auction. All Women’s Sports Museum Planned For Sarasota. Local nonprofit the Women’s Sports Museum announced its intent to build the first-ever all-women’s sports museum in Sarasota, Florida. The initial capital campaign event, the Fundraising Kick-Off Gala, will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Hyatt Regency Sarasota.
