2008 International Real Estate Congress
The International Council of the Sarasota Association of REALTORS® recently hosted the “Sarasota International Real Estate Congress,” which included three days of speakers, tours and networking. The event drew 125 people from Europe and other countries.
Julian Josephs a leader in global housing efforts and construction of affordable housing in developing countries opened the conference with his views on the condition of next year’s economic and global real estate markets.
Stefano Lucatello, another keynote speaker, launched the International Property Law Centre in 2003 and focuses on commercial law, sports law, player management and international property law while managing one of the largest international property law practices in the U.K.
Other presenters included local experts teamed up with speakers from around the state as well as those from others countries to talk about factors impacting the Florida market, who is investing in what, how to finance transactions in today’s tight credit climate and working with the media.
“It was a great congress,” said Carla Rayman, director of international business development for Prudential Palms Realty’s international division and a co-host of the event. “I think we all came away feeling better prepared to meet the challenges of the international real estate market with added confidence to better serve our clients and customers, both here and abroad.”
