Local Properties Showcased at Major U.K. International Real Estate Events
Helen Sosso, Patricia Tan and Carla Rayman of Prudential Palms Realty recently returned from three weeks of seminars, property shows and international trade association events. Prudential Palms Realty showcased the Sarasota lifestyle while promoting listings at A Place in the Sun Live overseas property show in Birmingham, England. Approximately 7,500 people attended the show over three days.
Remarks Tan, “Attendees were very positive about generally investing in US real estate and in particular Florida. There is an awareness that we are at, or close to, the bottom of the market. A significant proportion of those who attended the show indicated that they were planning to use cash eliminating the need for mortgages in today’s tight credit market.”
Directly following the show Sosso and Rayman spent ten days in London giving presentations to brokers on the benefits of investing in Florida and creating referral relationships. They also attended a gala awards dinner for the Association of International Property Professionals. Last the pair represented the Sarasota Association of REALTORS® as sponsors for the National Association of Estate Agents Forum.
“Despite what is happening in the financial markets, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that there is a high level of interest from international financial advisors who represent buyers,” commented Sosso. “For example, at the private equity conference we attended at London’s Dorchester Hotel, it was encouraging to hear that their high-end real estate portfolio clients, while affected by the financial markets, believe that real estate is still a safe investment and are taking advantage of the current climate to build their net worth.”
