Neal Communities sold 33 new homes in February for a total of 55 homes so far this year. “The buyers are here. Of the 33 sales in February, 20 were in River Sound, and the remaining 13 were divided between Forest Creek, Wisteria Park, Rivers Reach and four of the Neal neighborhoods in The Country Club in Lakewood Ranch. 70% of the homes were new construction, while only 30% were inventory homes, almost a complete turn-around from sales in previous months. This heralds a change in the buying attitude that has not been evidenced for months. About 61% of the sales were sold through representation from REALTORS®.

A local builder is leading the way out of recession by turning the tide on real estate sales. Neal Communities has sold 109 homes in the first quarter of 2009, marking the best first quarter in the last three years. The company is experiencing a surge of new home sales that broke records for March with 42 sales on the books. In fact, there was a situation in the Mandalay community where three parties had offers on the same home on the same day.
Since opening in late February, there have been 43 sales in River Sound, Neal’s newest community. This announcement comes on the heals of news that last month pending sales in Sarasota rose to the highest level in three years.
