Klaus Lang & Ken Torrington To Lead Rotary Club International Chapters
Klaus Lang & Ken Torrington of Michael Saunders & Company were elected incoming presidents of two of the major Rotary Club International chapters in Southwest Florida.
Ken Torrington will lead the Rotary Club of Sarasota while his company colleague, Klaus Lang, is the incoming president of the Rotary Club of Sarasota Keys.
Torrington is a twenty year veteran of Michael Saunders & Company. He has been with Rotary International for four years and will be installed as president on June 20, 2009.
Lang, an agent with the company for the past seven years, has been a Rotarian since the early 1980’s and has belonged to clubs in Asia, Europe and Africa. Lang’s chapter, the Rotary Club of Sarasota Keys, celebrates its 50th anniversary during his term as president.
Rotary International is a worldwide organization consisting of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary Clubs, known as Rotarians, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, provide humanitarian service, and help build peace and goodwill in the world. One of their ongoing causes is to eliminate polio from the face of the earth.
