Gibraltar Homes announced a significant increase in sales for August and September. According to Jimmy Stewart, Director of Sales, Gibraltar posted 10 sales over the last 60 days representing nearly $7 million in sales. This number represents an average of $700,000 per home in today’s market! Sales activity was brisk in each community where Gibraltar is currently building; Country Club East at Lakewood Ranch, Bougainvillea Place in Ellenton and Legends Bay – Legends Cove at IMG Academies.
“We are optimistic that these sales are a good indication the local market has reached a higher level of recovery” stated Stewart. “We’re extremely encouraged and hopeful that this trend will continue. We’re seeing excellent traffic at each of our sales offices, particularly our be-back or return visitors, who certainly have a renewed interest in making the buying decision now. We believe the buyers today have recognized the tremendous value currently being offered. These buyers don’t want to miss this opportunity.”
The trend of including personal selections and customizations to the home seemed to evaporate during 2007 and 2008 but that’s not the case with these buyers. According to Stewart, in addition to the increased sales activity, the Gibraltar buyers are selecting more luxury items from the array of choices at the corporate design studio.
