Cynthia Fuente Suarez will be at Maduro Cigar & Bar in Sarasota, Florida this coming Thursday. Maduro Cigar & Bar will feature the new ‘King B’, “Queen B’, ‘Cuban Belicoso’, ‘Chateau’, ‘Double Chateau’ & Flora Fina ‘858’ at the affair.

Cynthia Fuente Suarez:
Cynthia Fuente Suarez is part of the fourth generation of the Fuente family to be involved in the cigar industry. Her roots go back to Cuba where her great grandfather was a maker of cigars. Her grandfather, Arturo Fuente, Sr., began his cigar career in Cuba and later founded A. Fuente & Co. in Tampa in 1912. Her father, Carlos Fuente, Sr., is the Chairman of the Board of Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic.
As a child, Cynthia worked in various stages of cigar manufacturing for her father’s company in Tampa. She became professionally involved in the company after graduating from the University of South Florida. She was trained to be proficient in various stages of the manufacturing process and then was moved to sales. In that capacity, she traveled across the country at which time she became very friendly with many tobacconists. Cynthia also attends the annual RTDA Shows where she helps to forge many additional friendships with cigar retailers. In the 1990’s she began concentrating on the administrative aspects of the family business.
In 1992, along with her husband Wayne and their children Cynthia moved to the Dominican Republic to join forces with her father, Carlos, Sr and her brother Carlos, Jr. in marketing the famed Arturo Fuente handmade cigars. Wayne Suarez, Cynthia’s husband, is a key executive at Arturo Fuente Cigar Co. He is particularly involved with all aspects of manufacturing including quality control and scheduling of cigar shipments. Cynthia and Wayne often travel together attending trade conventions, Big Smokes and cigar dinners. The Suarez family is blessed with three children, daughters Christina and Bianca and son, Carlos Oscar. The family resides both in Santiago, Dominican Republic and in Tampa, Florida.
