West Coast Of Florida Well Represented On FRLA Board

FRLA Installs 2010 Executive Committee at Annual Board Meeting.

The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) announced their 2010 Executive Committee at its annual Board Meeting held January 20–22, 2010 at St. Pete Beach’s TradeWinds Island Resorts.

Senior vice president and chief operating officer of TradeWinds Island Resorts in St. Pete Beach, Keith Overton, was named FRLA’s 2010 Chairman of the Board. Overton is the first hotelier to be elected chair since the merger of the Florida Restaurant Association (FRA) and the Florida Lodging Association (FLA) in 2005.

“I am honored to represent such a prolific organization in the capacity of chairman of the board, and it is even more special to me to be the first hotelier to do so,” said Overton. “We are one of the strongest and largest associations in Florida, contributing 20 percent of our state’s economy through the hospitality and tourism industry. I look forward to representing FRLA at the local, state and national level and tackling the myriad of issues affecting our association.”
