JANUS et Cie, the award-winning LA, CA based company and defining source for lifestyle, garden and site furnishings, announced that Home Resource, Southwest Florida’s premier retailer of contemporary home furnishings, will be the second FL retailer to carry the JANUS et Cie product line.

The 6,000-sq ft family-owned showroom, established in 1995, is located at 741 Central Avenue, Sarasota, Florida. Home Resource will carry JANUS et Cie’s collections including Dedon, Exterior Elements and JANUS Textiles, and classic pieces such as Hemisphere by Richard Frinier and Yoda by Kenneth Cobonpue. The showroom also will feature JANUS et Cie’s newest award winning products the Forest Armchair and the Versa Arco Chaise each receiving the highly coveted 2009 Good Design Awards, awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

Home Resource owner Michael Bush stated, “We are thrilled to partner with JANUS et Cie and are confident our relationship with this industry leading brand will perpetuate Home Resource’s position as Southwest Florida’s premiere contemporary home retailer.” He continued, “By offering our clients JANUS et Cie’s collections of indoor and outdoor furnishings which combine superior design, quality and environmental sustainability, we are able to uphold our standard of design excellence.”

JANUS et Cie’s extensive product offerings of furniture, accessories and textiles have captured the imagination of design savvy clients, defining outdoor living areas as an extension of home, office and public spaces. Janice Feldman, artist, visionary and national design icon, is known for her appreciation of beauty and details, founded JANUS et Cie 1978. A homonym for Ms. Feldman’s own first name, JANUS is the Roman god with two faces, one looking forward and the other looking back, who embodies Feldman’s own approach to design and to life: zest and appetite for the innovations of the future, respect for and understanding of the traditions of the past. The French “et Cie,” translates as “and company” and represents Feldman’s acknowledgement that a company, like a life, is a collective as well as an individual effort. Thanks to Feldman’s esprit, what began as a representative firm for established furniture and textile manufacturers has evolved into a unique and extremely eclectic company, the leading international source for contemporary lifestyle furnishings and accessories.
