January 22nd the REAL Magazine networking group crossed the county line into Manatee County for a luncheon event in Hawks Harbor. The gathering was hosted by Debra Pitell of Michael Saunders and Company at her Savannah style custom home located at 7102 Hawks Harbor Circle. Kicking off the event REAL Magazine’s Ed Bertha reviewed the progress REAL Magazine’s website made over the past year. Next up Bertha introduced Leslie Brown of ViaVio and together they preannounced the launch of REAL Style Video. Pitell and Bertha then recapped for the crowd Pitell’s sale of one of the host homes previously on the networking event schedule. The group had a good chuckle when it was revealed that the home she sold was in the Forest at Hi Hat Ranch and the buyer originally wanted waterfront property!
What started as a dreary, rainy day turned into Florida sunshine when keynote speaker Michael Saunders took the stage. No crystal ball gazing from this industry icon but an informative review into the return on investment of real estate versus the financial markets and an engaging story illustrating the continuing need for everyone to work together as the real estate industry continues on its path to recovery.
