[1]Sarasota’s Original Plant Fair Takes Place Once Again.
For 35 years Marie Selby Botanical Gardens has hosted the popular annual Plant and Garden Festival. The event is Sarasota’s original plant fair and is set this year for Saturday and Sunday, March 20th and 21st, from 10:00am-5:00pm at Selby Gardens. The Gardens are located at 900 South Palm Avenue in Sarasota, Florida. There will be special reduced price admission to the Gardens for this event! Members have free admission.
This show offers the gardening aficionado thousands of unusual tropical plants from numerous state wide vendors. Additionally Selby Gardens has its own exquisite plant specimens available for purchase. Types of specialty plants offered include species orchids, bromeliads, palms, herbs, ferns, Amaryllis, flowering trees, Hibiscus, tropical fruit plants, succulents, water lilies and more!
There will be free horticulture demonstrations and expert gardening advice from the numerous plant societies in attendance. The Plant and Garden Festival also offers gardening related items for sale such as garden art, botanical jewelry, and horticultural supplies and products.
