Every Sunday from April 4th through May 9th, 2010, from 1pm-3pm enjoy the beauty of nature and live music at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. The Garden Music Concert Series offers a different musical style each week-from hot Latin rhythms and cool jazz to classical favorites, blues, standards and 60’s rock and roll.
This event is sponsored by Comcast, WUSF and is paid for in part by Sarasota County Tourist Development Tax revenues.

April 4th Los Rumberos – Latin
April 11th Yesterdaze – Sounds of the 60’s
April 18th Seabreeze Recording Artist Dan McMillion and Jazz Quintet
April 25th SoulRcoaster – Contemporary, R&B/Soul
May 2nd The Swing Merchants – Show Tunes, Standards and Swing
May 9th The Ventura’s – Swing, Blues, Jazz, Jive and More – Mother’s Day
Garden Music Concerts are run from 1:00pm-3:00pm and are included in regular admission. Selby Gardens’ members’ guests will be charged $5 each.
Admission Prices: $17.00 for adults; $6.00 for age 6-12, and children under age 5 are free.
Food, wine, beer and assorted beverages will be available from Local Coffee + Tea in the historic Selby house, the perfect pairing with music in the Gardens. Weather permitting burgers and BBQ will also be available under the Banyans, weather permitting.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a respected center for research and education as well as a famous orchid showplace. The Gardens is located at 811 South Palm Avenue in Sarasota. It is open to the public daily from 10am-5pm with the exception of Christmas day.
