Lee Wetherington Homes announced that Peter Mason has joined the firm as vice president of sales and marketing. Mason has also taken on the responsibilities of broker for the home builder. “Peter is exactly the right person at the right time. Our company will benefit greatly from his talents as we introduce our new, “right-sized” homes to buyers,” Lee Wetherington said.
Mason welcomes the opportunity. “Everyone understands that this has been a difficult market,” he said. “I’m energized by the challenge. It’s a privilege to represent a respected industry leader that has won recognition nationally, regionally and locally.”
Mason brings 28 years of real estate and marketing experience on Florida’s Gulf Coast to Lee Wetherington Homes. A member of the Home Builders Associations of Sarasota and Manatee Counties since 1985, Mason is past chairman of the sales & marketing council of both trade associations. He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida and a graduate of Villanova University.
He has also held leadership positions in some of the area’s leading building and trade organizations. As vice president of sales and marketing for a decade with Bruce Williams Homes, Mason managed all phases of sales, marketing and design. Under his guidance, the company captured more than 200 Parade of Homes Awards as well as two awards from the National Association of Home Builders: one each for Best Design Center and for Best Merchandised Model in the $1 million to $2 million-dollar category.
