Developer and homebuilder Neal Communities launched Central Park at Lakewood with 13 contracts for Neal and 2 for Bruce Williams Homes totaling 15 contracts within the first three days. The community of about 800 homes is located east of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and is the first residential neighborhood in Lakewood Ranch north of State Road 70.

Visitors toured the eight model homes (six built by Neal Communities and two by Bruce Williams Homes), they also tried out the splash park and enjoyed refreshments in the ten-acre park that is the centerpiece of the community.

Neal Communities recently announced the starting price of $126,990, which is a price point currently not available for newly constructed single-family homes in Lakewood Ranch. “As we have seen this year so far, the buyers are definitely out there. The smart buyers, who are responsible for the majority of the traffic we are currently seeing at our communities, are making deals now, because this is the time for buyers to get more value for their home-buying dollars,” said Pat Neal, president of Neal Communities.

The winner of the My Favorite Bench contest was recently announced. The Manatee Chamber of Commerce won with more than 30,000 votes. Pat Neal presented the Chamber with a check for $1,000 and the chamber will use the money for educational outreach. The winning bench was painted by Sarah Taylor, a Bradenton-based artist.
