Grapevine Communications’ President Accepts Appointments

Angela Massaro-Fain, Founder and President of Grapevine Communications, recently accepted volunteer leadership positions with the Small Business Council of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and Manasota SCORE. Her term begins this fall and she will chair the Small Business Council (SBC) and become a member of the Advisory Board of SCORE.

Massaro-Fain says, “I am honored to have been selected to serve in these positions. As a founder of a small business, I know that these businesses make up 99% of all employer firms in the nation. I am looking forward to contributing my experience to our local entrepreneurs. Small businesses are such a vital part of our local economy, it is imperative that we make every resource available to allow them a chance to grow and be successful.”

The SBC is a resource and advocate  for small business members of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. The SBC provides seminars and workshops on a variety of small business topics geared to local issues, in addition to one-on-one counseling sessions with SCORE and the Small Business Development Centers of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota and the University of South Florida.

For 45 years, SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” has been the premier, free business counseling and advice service in the United States. SCORE is a non-profit association working in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Incoming chair of Manasota SCORE Chapter Gregory Hoffman of Hoffman Mediation states, “We are delighted to have Angela as a member of the SCORE Advisory Board. Her knowledge and commitment to small business in Manatee and Sarasota County will be a great asset to SCORE as it advances it mission to help develop and grow new businesses in our community”.
