[1]Coldwell Banker CARES Donates $25,000 To USO For Phone Cards.
Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate CARES Foundation, the charitable arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, is helping troops deployed overseas stay in touch with their loved ones back home. This summer, CARES donated $25,000 to AT&T/USO, providing Florida’s troops with 1,600 Coldwell Banker-branded pre-paid international phone cards with 300 minutes on each card.
“Our generous sales associates, employees, families, vendors and customers have made it possible for our service men and women to call home more often and say ‘good night’ to a child, ‘I love you’ to a spouse or ‘I miss you’ to a parent,” says Clark W. Toole, President, Coldwell Banker Residential Estate, Florida.
Coldwell Banker agents and employees from all regions of Florida offices held fundraising events such as bake sales, golf tournaments and office luncheons to raise money for the CARES donation.
Robin Muzeka, branch manager at the company’s Lake Mary/Heathrow office and statewide chair of the CARES foundation, says, “It’s a hardship for U.S. troops to be away from their families while serving our nation overseas. We wanted to express our thanks by giving them free phone calls to loved ones back home.”
