[1]Come Join The Celebration As Lakewood Ranch Turns 15!
Today and tonight come join Lakewood Ranch at the Sarasota Polo Grounds for an day and evening of family fun and entertainment. Lakewood Ranch is celebrating 15 years and everyone is invited. This is a free event and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available to purchase and all proceeds benefit the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance.
Car-BQ starts at 11am and ends at 2pm. You hop in your car, race to the Pit Crew Station, pick up a barbecue lunch for you and your co-workers. Seating will be available at the Polo pavilion for some extra added networking time. First come, first serve for dining at the pavilion. Enjoy delicious pulled pork or chicken sandwich, sides and dessert for just $10.00!!
The celebration begins at 4pm and ends at 9pm at the Polo grounds. Be sure to make it on time to be part of an aerial photograph taken on the Polo Field, at 4:45pm. SRQ Trolley’s will be on hand to get you from your car to the party!
There will be activities for both adults and children; hay rides, a hay maze, a display of Lakewood Ranch history, face painting, corn hole provided by Mercedes Benz, Live music by the Billy Rice Band, NASCAR racecars on display, obstacle course provided by The Sarasota County Sheriff, Cowboy & Polo demonstrations, pumpkin patch provided by Harvest Church with a decorating area, free showing of Charlie Brown movie provided by Verizon, and much more!
The Food Bank of Manatee will accept food donations and the Honor Sanctuary will accept dog and cat food or supplies. Anyone bringing an item for one of these organizations will receive a ticket for a chance to enter the Grow Financial Money machine!
