Lights in Bloom: A Sparkling Tropical Holiday Celebration is a beloved family tradition. This year, fans of Selby Gardens’ holiday extravaganza can look forward to a sparkling new interpretation of this annual favorite.
For nine December evenings, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is transformed into a fantasyland of brilliant lights and festive displays. Stroll through magical gardens filled with sparkling lights and enjoy live holiday music, children’s activities, and a visit with Santa. The event runs Friday, December 17th through Thursday, December 23rd and Sunday and Monday, December 26th and 27th.
Bob McComb, the innovative originator of Lights in Bloom, has returned to bring new life to this glittering holiday event, adding more flowers, real-life faeries, seven-ft wide butterflies, dragonflies, Towering 10-ft Birds of Paradise , and more. Lights in Bloom’s larger-than-life display showcases the Gardens in dazzling lights and sound.
The Mansion, its entry covered with snowflakes, is a Designer Showcase glistening with holiday magic courtesy of the Florida West Coast chapter of the American Society of Interior Design, partnering with Christmas Traditions by Lux-Art Silks and Robb & Stucky.
Children of all ages will love the new Toyland Experience including Santa and his elves, oversized games, and a fanciful new holiday train village thanks to the Florida Garden Railway Society.
To avoid waiting in line, purchase advance admission online or in the Selby Gardens Welcome Center, 900 South Palm Avenue.
Admission: $12 for non-member, $10 for Members. Children ages 11 and younger enter free when accompanied by an adult.
