[1]Hit And Run Driver Kills Teen, Police Searching For Dark SUV.
Saturday night, January 22nd, around 10:15pm Brendon Barnes, 15, and Samuel Garvin, 16, both from Sarasota, were walking west in the bicycle lane along Whitfield Avenue when a vehicle heading the same way hit both boys. Police are looking for a dark sports utility vehicle, with probable right front damage, that continued driving west on Whitfield Avenue away after hitting the boys. Garvin was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital and had surgery today for serious injuries. If you have any information please contact Florida Highway Patrol Cpl.
