Saturday, January 22nd, marked the five-year anniversary of The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club. To celebrate the milestone US Women’s Open Champion Paula Creamer conducted a clinic for members and invited guests. Creamer gave out instructional tips, provided insight to her winning shots, played around with some “trick” shots and answered questions about her game on the LPGA tour. The US Women’s Open Trophy was on display from her first major title win July 11, 2010 where she captured the victory at the U.S. Women’s Open at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, PA. Of note the win was Creamer’s first tournament after undergoing surgery on her right thumb last March.
[1]“We have enjoyed having Paula as a member of the club for the past five years and to those that have seen her work ethic and perseverance it’s no surprise she is a now major champion,” stated Glen Murray, Director of Golf Operations for The Members Golf Club.
“Paula is such a great ambassador for golf; she represents the First Tee Nationally for junior development, and is a continuous encourager of those she comes in contact with,” continued Murray. “Her involvement in our celebration will surely continue to inspire our golfers to continue to enjoy this historic game.”
