The doors open Friday, February 18, 2011, for Iration and Ballyhoo! at St Pete’s Jannus Live. Iration, one of the hottest new acts, brings its infectious pop-reggae-rock sound to the courtyard, with help by another top act in the genre, Maryland-based Ballyhoo!
Iration arguably writes the catchiest tunes in the beach-reggae genre. Their lush vocal harmonies wash over you as well. That the members hail from Hawaii adds to their mystique and the good-time vibe of their music. It’s also apparent that the five-piece has studied up on its roots-reggae as well. All told, a very impressive young band that should bring a laid-back sway to Jannus Live.
