[1]Kiwanis One Day Partners with Habitat for Humanity Sarasota.
Saturday April 2nd is Kiwanis One Day. Kiwanis One Day is the one day a year where all Kiwanis clubs together do community service projects. Kiwanis is a service organization dedicated to supporting children’s programs under “Serving the Children of the World”. This year the Kiwanis clubs of Division 18N will be partnering with Habitat Sarasota. The clubs have been assigned to complete the landscaping work at 5045 Almanza Avenue in Desoto Lakes.
Fred Scheerle, Siesta Key Kiwanis Past President and Habitat Sarasota Director of Family Services is coordinating the clubs. Besides the Siesta Key club there will be volunteers from the Sarasota Downtown Club, Longboat Key, South Sarasota and a group from Pineview High School’s Kiwanis Key Club will be there.
