Dance Art Food Festival
Announcing the inaugural Dance, Art & Food Festival (DAFF). The event takes place on Saturday, April 30th at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall located on the beautiful Sarasota Bay. The event is designed to enhance the Gulf Coast’s businesses economically as well as generate awareness amongst a specific target market. More than 10,000 are expected to attend, most of whom have a high level of disposable income and are affluent patrons.
Taste your way around the globe with local Chef Paul Mattison, featuring 8 international cuisines. Watch authentic ethnic dances from different cultures performed on the main stage by over a hundred contestants in our individual and group dance competitions. Also, local artists will be showcasing their talent in the form of paintings, sculptures, photography and other artistic crafts for display or for purchase. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase some of the most unique fine-art from around the globe.
DAFF will also have a play area for children, including face painting, educational activities, rock climbing and more. The Gulf Coast’s finest businesses will be showcasing their products and services, with vendor booths filled with product sampling, informational material and shopping.
