Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate announced that sales associate Louis Wery represented the buyer in the highest priced residential real estate transaction on Longboat Key. The transaction was the third largest in Sarasota County.
Listed by Developers Realty Realtor Reid Murphy, the 12,000 sq ft estate on Longboat Club Road was on the market for less than six months before it sold for $12.5 million.
“I reached the buyer, who is from Europe, through my international connections,” said Wery, a Coldwell Banker Previews Property Specialist and a 15 year Coldwell Banker veteran. Born in Tanzania and educated in England and Belgium, he is a certified International Property Specialist as awarded by the National Association of Realtors and speaks five languages
Sue Wolverton, Regional Senior Vice President, Southwest Florida, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, says that her company has seen an uptick in ultra-luxury sales over the past year. She states, “In 2010 in Southwest Florida we saw a 300 percent increase in homes sold that were priced over $5 million, and the number of homes sold over $1 million was up 42 percent for the same time period.”
