[1]Come Visit And Learn About The Sarasota Sailing Squadron.
On Saturday May 14th, 2011 the Sarasota Sailing Squadron is hosting its second open house of the year. The open house runs from 10am-2pm and parking is outside the main gate in Ken Thompson Park. The Sarasota Sailing Squadron is a 64 year old non profit organization dedicated to the promotion of sailing and sailing activities. It has occupied the property in Ken Thompson Park since 1958.
The general public is invited to come to “the Squadron” at 1717 Ken Thompson Park for facility tours, to learn about membership and see what services are available. Member volunteers will be on hand to assist and answer questions. Hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the club’s outdoor grilling pavilion.
