[1]Giving Hunger The Blues Raises Over $100,000!
The 16th Annual Giving Hunger The Blues block party was a considerable accomplishment in the fight against hunger in Sarasota County. Over $100,000 was raised benefiting All Faiths Food Bank, the most effective anti-hunger organization in Sarasota. Giving Hunger The Blues has become the Food Bank’s largest one day fundraiser, raising over $950,000 to date.
[2]Over the last decade and a half we have seen a progressive growth in attendance and an increased awareness of the needs in our community. With 7,000+ guests attending this year’s block party they enjoyed the sunshine, music, food, entertainment, games, rides and a host of other activities.
Everyone from Giving Hunger The Blues and All Faiths Food Bank would like to express their gratitude to the many restaurants, and volunteers without whom this event would not be possible.
