Local residents can help Cat Depot win $15,000 through the online “America’s Favorite Animal Shelter” contest found at www.care2.com/animalsheltercontest [2]. The contest is sponsored by Care2.com, ASPCA and Adopt-a-Pet.
“Cat Depot would use the fifteen thousand dollars for urgently needed medical supplies, food and daily care of the overwhelming number of homeless and injured cats and kittens that we help on a daily basis,” said Shelley Thayer, Executive Director, Cat Depot. “We encourage every community member who loves animals to take a few minutes to vote. Your five minutes could make a life altering difference to an animal that needs immediate help.”
Care2 will award $30,000 to shelters across the United Stated through this contest. In additional to the grand prize awarded to the shelter with the most votes, Care 2 will award a total of $10,000 to the two shelters in second and third place and a cash prize every week.
