Keller Williams On The Water announced Phil Laing as the newest agent to join their organization. “We are excited about the increased opportunity he will be able to explore being part of the Keller Williams Team!” said Joanne Owens, Team Leader/CEO for Keller Williams On The Water.
After Receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Michigan University Laing became an office manager for a chemical processing plant in Detroit. He decided to get his real-estate license in 1974. In 1978 He became a real-estate broker, and worked as a managing broker of a firm of approximately 35 agents and was among one of the top producers of both sales and listings. He moved to Texas in 1981 and received his real-estate broker’s license and managed an office of some 25agents for a large developer in Austin. In 1983 He decided to go into the mortgage business. By 1995 He was Vice President, Branch anager for a Houston based mortgage company. Then in 1997 He received his mortgage broker’s license, at that time owned and managed his own mortgage company. They became the only mortgage company in Austin to own its own office building and had a 35 loan officers along with 5 staff members. Since then Laing has sold his mortgage company to his partners and has moved to Bradenton, FL receiving his license here. His interests are boating, pottery, and airbrush painting. He is married to Patti Laing and has two children Soni and Ross.
