Jane and Bob Waechter recently gifted $25,000 to Pines of Sarasota. This generous donation, made through the ”Enterprise Zone”, will support the renovation of the Pines entry way and facilities.
The Enterprise Zone, an incentive to encourage philanthropy, enables businesses headquartered in Florida to financially support not-for-profit organizations located within a particular geographic zone. In return, the businesses become eligible for a tax refund of up to 50% of the value of their contribution.
The Waechters have a long-standing relationship with Pines from the time Bob Waechter’s mother, a long-term volunteer, became a resident at Pines. Bob Waechter has served as board chair, and the family continues to entrust Pines with the care of loved ones. Their support and belief in the organization has helped provide excellent, dedicated care for many local seniors.
