MM Comfort Systems in Redmond, WA announced they were accredited as a Quality Assured New Homes Contractor by the Air Conditioning Contractors Association of America (ACCA www.acca.org/qa [2]). This accreditation reflects increasing standards associated with heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system design and installation for new homes.
MM Comfort Systems is currently the only company in Washington State with ACCA’s Quality Assured accreditation.
ACCA Quality Assured contractors satisfy requirements for the EPA ENERGY STAR New Homes Program. To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.
