[1]The Sarasota YMCA Joins In “Nutrition Is In The Bag” Program!
The Sarasota YMCA is one of 40 West Florida non-profits participating in the Sweetbay, Suntrust and Connect Your Cause “Nutrition is in the Bag” program to encourage healthy back-to-school snacking.
The program went live July 24th. You can download specially coded vouchers from the Connect Your Cause and Sweetbay Supermarkets websites for the purchase of fruit cups at Sweetbay grocery stores. The Sarasota YMCA’s vouchers can be downloaded from www.sweetbaysupermarket.com [2] and http://connectyourcause.com/ [3] and are also available at the YMCA branches.
The four non-profits – one each in Naples/Ft. Myers, Sarasota/Bradenton, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties — who generate the most coupon use will win $1,250 each, and the top 3 non-profits will share $10,000 in Sweetbay gift cards, which will support many area programs. It’s win-win all the way around!
Snacks donated on behalf of The Sarasota YMCA will benefit area children in need that are included in a wide variety of Y programming.
