[1]The Old Babe Gets A Face Lift!
The grande dame of downtown exercise, the Babe Weiller branch of the Sarasota YMCA, is showing off a makeover. The Sarasota YMCA announced that the Babe Weiller branch located at 1991 Main Street will hold a grand re-opening celebration on Monday August 22nd.
Everyone is invited to stop by the branch on August 22nd. The Chamber of Commerce will be performing a ribbon cutting at 4:30 and goodie bags will be available for the first 50 visitors.
The popular fitness facility will be sporting new fitness equipment, a new look to the fitness floor, fresh paint and a few other surprises. Starting in September, the Y will begin offering the Les Mills BODYPUMP classes. BODYPUMP is the original barbell class that strengthens the entire body and works all major muscle groups. A sixty minute class burns an average of 530 calories.
