In an effort to provide better conditions on the sidelines and support local high school football, Tri County Air Conditioning & Heating purchased misting fans that will rotate among local high schools during Friday night games this season.
“We’re in the comfort business,” says Bill Swanson, President of Tri County Air Conditioning & Heating, “we’re also big sports fans and we know those September nights can get real un-comfortable. That’s why we decided to provide the misting fans. We think they will provide relief for both teams involved and keep them more comfortable during the game.” Having the fans onsite during practices is also expected to decrease the potential for heat exhaustion, which is a danger during hot, late afternoons. “We worry about the safety of our young athletes,” says Swanson, “with these misting fans Tri County Air Conditioning is hoping to make a difference.”
Tri County Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. will designate a “game of the week” each week of the football season. The misting fans will be delivered to the home team on Monday the week the game will be played. Coaches and players will have access to the fans throughout the week; then the fans will be placed on both sidelines allowing access during the game for both teams.
