[1]Second Annual Monday 20 Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Contest.
The annual contest held by Monday 20, a group of business owners, who designed Y.E.S to raise consciousness and support for the youth of Sarasota County in the form of grants awarded each year is open for entries.
Deadline for entries is October 15, 2011. Entries may be emailed to dallas@monday20.com [2].
Finalist will be notified October 22, 2011 and a winner will present the winning business plan to the scholarship committee on October 31, 2011.
It is the mission of Monday 20 to raise the bar by challenging each other to create and implement goals, brainstorm ideas and support each other with total honesty balanced with respect and compassion.
Contestants must reside in Sarasota County and be between the ages of 8-18. The entrants will be judged on their submitted business plan and the presentation of that business plan to Monday 20 scholarship committee. Business plans will be considered on an existing business or a new business idea. A minimum of $1,000.00 in grants will be awarded and must be used to farther the winners business or business idea. Winners will also receive 6 months of consulting with Monday 20 members for business advice on how to facilitate their business plans.
