The Players Theatre Announces Promotion
Jolie Schroeder Promoted to Office Manager.
The Players Theatre announced the promotion of Jolie Schroeder to Office Manager. Schroeder joined The Players during the summer of 1996 to administer the operations of The Players Performing Arts Studio. In her expanded capacity, Schroeder is responsible for office operations and procedures for the box office as well as supervising all aspects of The Players Studio, including establishing curriculum, hiring instructors, coordinating community events, and overseeing performance groups. A Sarasota resident since 1986, Schroeder has 22 years of experience in the operations of performing arts businesses.
“Jolie has taken a leadership role in growing the enrollment of The Players Performing Arts Studio,” said Michelle Bianchi Pingel, Managing Director. “Her attention to detail and understanding of theater operations will be instrumental in increasing the organizational efficiency of the box office.”
The Players, Sarasota’s first and oldest performing arts organization, second oldest in the State of Florida, began in 1930, in the midst of the Great Depression, with a season of one-act plays. Over the course of 81 seasons, The Players has achieved a reputation for quality productions and for creating programming that entertains, educates, and enlightens. The Theatre has grown to serve a diverse audience with varied and year-round offerings and to offer classes in acting, singing and dance to students at The Performing Arts Studio.
