The South Florida Museum presents Glory as part of the Film Fridays Between the States Series, 6pm on October 21, 2011.
“Glory” – 1989, Rated R, 122 minutes.
Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman star in this emotionally and visually impactful film depicting the true story of the first company of black soldiers in the American Civil War. The film is based on the letters of Colonel Robert Gould Shaw who faced prejudice and contempt from both the Confederate enemy and his Union allies when he volunteered to lead the historic regiment.
There will be a selection of beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. Please note: The theater may be cold, sweaters or jackets are recommended. Admission is $5 General Admission, $3 Member Admission.
