Home Resource To Feature Dhakeria Cunningham’s NUDE.

Home Resource announced the latest in their theater series, a one women show written and performed by Dhakeria Cunningham and directed by Will Little.
 
The work  “Nude” uses poetry, theatre, and dance to explore the intimate nature of womanhood from giving birth to sexual complexities, from growing up to maturation and finding oneself as a woman. The theme examines how a woman responds to circumstances involving love and self-discovery, using the arts as a platform for thorough examination and expression. This intimate encounter takes you into her thoughts and gives you front row seats to her personal moments; heartbreak, joy, fears and fantasies.
 
The author, Dhakeria Cunningham is woman of many talents including actress, dancer, and writer. Born in South Carolina, she earned her B.F.A in Theatre Arts at Howard University (2008) and is currently working on M.B.A. Her recent appearances in Sarasota include a reading at Home Resource of Jack Gilhooley’s “Playboy” and at the Players theatre in “Anything Goes” and “A Country Christmas Carol.” She was recognized by All Business magazine as of the 28 most influential and exciting “Players’ in the Sarasota arts world right now.
 
The work  will be performed on Thursday October 27 and Friday October 28th and will begin around 7 pm. Tickets to the show are $10 and payment will be collected at the door  Proceeds from the show will go to the author. For reservations, please email  mbush@homeresource.com. Seating is very limited.
