Candice McElyea Announces New Public Relations Firm.
Candice McElyea, former director of marketing and public relations for Schroeder-Manatee Ranch (SMR), has launched her own public relations firm, 360 Degrees PR & Marketing. The firm specializes in public relations strategy and media planning, videos, press release writing, complete social media management, image consulting, and many other marketing services.
McElyea, a former television journalist and real estate professional, has lived in the Sarasota/Manatee region since 1984 and has strong ties to the area. McElyea first joined SMR in 2009 as the promotions and public relations manager and was soon promoted to the director of marketing and public relations position. She led the initiative to make Lakewood Ranch the first community to be “tagged” by Microsoft and was responsible for overseeing public relations and marketing strategy for several different subsidiaries under the SMR umbrella including residential and commercial real estate, the sports campus, and Main Street at Lakewood Ranch.
