[1]Gloria Musicae Holds Auditions For The 2012 – 2013 Season.
Gloria Musicae, Sarasota’s all professional vocal chamber ensemble, will hold auditions in Sarasota for all voice parts for its 2012‐2013 season from 11 AM to 3 PM on May 5 and 7 PM to 9 PM on May 7. Auditions are by appointment only.
Gloria Musicae was founded in 1979. Its mission is to celebrate the excellence of choral music through innovative, stimulating performances that both educate and entertain the public.
The ensemble is directed by Dr. Joseph Holt, formerly associate conductor of the Choral Arts Society of Washington, D.C., director of choral activities at American University and principal pianist for the United States Army Chorus. All positions in the chorus are paid; rehearsals are held on Monday evenings in Sarasota.
