Cat Depot Kid’s Critter Camp
Cat Depot Summer Session Registration Now Open.
Cat Depot announced its first summer Critter Camp open to children from second through fifth grade. The five day sessions will run from 1:00-5:00 p.m. during the weeks of June 18-22 (2nd-3rd grade), June 25-29 (2nd -3rd grade), and July 9-13 (4th-5th grade). Critter Camp offers children a hands-on opportunity to learn more about a variety of animals and how to safely handle, help, and respect them. Presenters will include local vets, vet techs, animal services, and professionals in animal fields, who will share the necessity for spay/neuter, responsible pet care, endangered species, and much more!
Cat Depot volunteers and leaders in their field will teach how to paint a cat portrait, and make animal treats, bedding or toys. Upon arrival, each camper will begin a relationship with a Cat Depot homeless cat. In their five day camp experience, they will learn about animal behavior, how to care for their cat and help in his adoption process.
