The South Florida Museum presents The Color Purple as part of the Film Fridays Women on Film series, 6pm on August 31, 2012.
(1985) PG, 155 minutes Steven Spielberg’s epic adaptation of Alice Walker’s intimate portrait of the hardships, triumphs and tragedies facing African-American women in the first half of the twentieth century, with Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey.
There will be a selection of beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. Please note: The theater may be cold, sweaters or jackets are recommended. Admission is $5 General Admission, $3 Member Admission.
