The Historical Society of Sarasota County is looking for local artisans, writers, artists and creators of “One of a Kind” articles to sell in the Museum Shop of treasures, located in the detached kitchen of the Bidwell-Wood House (the oldest house in Sarasota).
The shop, which opened in 2009, is one of Sarasota’s Best Kept Secrets and features a wide assortment of gift items for your home and as a treasured reminder of your visit to Sarasota.
The hours are: 10:00 – 2:00 Mondays through Fridays and certain Saturdays each month, and from 6pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, prior to the monthly “Conversations in the Crocker” membership meetings.
The shop will be manned by volunteers, including our artisans who will receive 70% of the consignment sale prices, if they consent to working one day per month or more.
We welcome new vendors and more information can be had by emailing Jane at the Historical Society: hsosc@yahoo.com or by calling the office @ 941-364-9076.
