Please join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County and The Oriole Bird at Ed Smith Stadium for our Third Annual “Walk for the Kids” on Saturday, September 15th. The purpose of the Walk is to raise awareness of the need for a safe place that keeps kids off the streets and in the Clubs. BGCSC provides a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through the doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship and living a healthy lifestyle. Event proceeds will help pay for after-school Club memberships for children in North Port, Venice, Sarasota and Newtown.
The entry fee for the walk is only $25 and FREE for children under 18 years old. The Baltimore Orioles invite you to walk with THE ORIOLE BIRD in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs. Anyone can support THE ORIOLE BIRD by walking and/or pledging. Click on “PLEDGE THE ORIOLE BIRD” in the left sidebar or search The Oriole Bird Team.
With just a click of a button, you can join as an individual walker or start a team. A team can consist of family, friends and neighbors. Corporate Teams are easy and fun for team-building as a department or group of colleagues.
Simply by asking 10 friends to sponsor you for $25, you can easily reach your first goal of $250. Ask more people, raise more money! It is as simple as that!
